Cropped Wrap Top: Vogue V9315
It's February. My favourite month. Partly because I was born in this month and therefore I try to make it as special as possible. But also because it's Ballet Season. And I love the Ballet. In particular I love contemporary Ballet and I've got tickets to see Matthew Bourne's latest production; 'The Red Shoes'. I'm so excited and to commemorate the first ballet of 2020, I have decided to make a quintessential Ballet garment; the Wrap Top. And its going to be in Scarlet Red. I used Vogue Pattern V9315 and went with View C. It's a cropped wrap with epic sleeves that have a lot of drama. Perfect for the ballet. The pattern calls for woven fabric, but I wanted something that had a little bit stretch to get a closer and more comfortable fit of the wrapping part of the top. So I used a red knit fabric; Ponte Jersey. To account for the stretchier fabric, I did go down a size, but other than that I made no changes to the basic construction of...
